A Scandinavian Barbeque hut was purchased in 2014 and provides Crossfire Trust with a unique environment to barbeque throughout the year. It has seating for twelve around the charcoal fire with swinging grills and moveable racks allowing a range of food to be grilled while the chat increases. It is located at the front of Darkley House on an elevated site of raised stone which originated from the old Coach House building. The hut can be hired for private parties, celebration or team building days for 3 hours at a time at a cost of £100.
It seems to be a great place for chat, easy entertainment in which everyone can be seen and heard, and everyone can see the food sizzling before their eyes.
It was purchased by public donations and built by volunteers. It has been and is a great space to discuss community issues.
