Over the last ten years, Darkley House has been used to provide accommodation for people in housing crisis and those experiencing homelessness for whatever reason. During this period we have received funding to employ staff and run various programmes. Currently we do not receive any direct funding and are unable to employ staff.
However, the provision of supported accommodation has become core to our community outreach and whilst the programme has been scaled back, accommodation continues to be provided through the use of volunteers to support residents.
Accommodation is provided in Darkley House with six bedrooms providing eleven beds – single, twin and family room with three single beds with space for a fourth. We also have two separate living areas which include one upstairs flat and one annex. These contain a double bed, separate bathroom and living area with small kitchen.
