The second Christmas fair was held in Crossmaglen square and despite the weather and cold conditions local people joined with the market day customers, stall holders and visitors.
Andy Rogers made it down from Coleraine and although a contemporary singer/songwriter he enjoyed the opportunity to sing traditional carols with the people who also appreciated the ‘hotdogs’ with cranberry sauce and homemade stuffing.
Reconciliation was highlighted in a word quiz and this stimulated further discussion on the challenge of offering goodwill to all.
It is our intention to grow this Christmas Fair and with ideas coming from local people, council staff and stall holders it is just as well to have 12 months to plan for next year!
Our thanks to:
Andy for travelling so far.
The staff of Memory Making Ltd for the early erection of the marquee.
The extra volunteers who helped host a key event in a key place.
